1 I setup the TrueNas (A Dell Studio 540 with a 1000BaseT Network capability) and connected it to the Netgear Router. Shortly, I was made aware that one of my TV's was no longer connecting to the internet. It connected okay, but could not reach the internet. The connection to the internet via the C3000Z was no longer working.

My current conclusion is: L3 is better for local scenario (like localhost or Intranet) while L7 is for Internet. Imagine that for some reason we need to set up port forwarding between two hosts from all different continents (a total of three hosts, named A lice, P roxy, and B ob). My Router shows its SSID when I browse the network but doesnt connect. There is a VPN router using this router to backhaul to the internet. The router has a fibre connection (1000mbs) and Ethernet works but not WiFi. When first plugged in the WiFi on the fibre router works, but after a few minutes, it stops working.
