We highly recommend that Cato customers follow their cloud providers guidelines for patching operating system running in the virtual machine of their cloud hosts. Specific patching instructions can be found here for Microsoft Azure , Amazon AWS , and Google Cloud Platform.

This problem was addressed by Virtualization and the Hypervisor. By decoupling the hardware and the software through the hypervisor, it was possible to quickly move virtual operating system images (basically Windows or Linux instances and the applications that runs on them) across physical servers in the case of a failure.

Veeam works by requesting a snapshot from your hypervisor, processing and deduplicating that data, and removing the snapshot from your hypervisor. Veeam also has the ability to cluster multiple storage extents into one scale out repository which will load balance data between the different extents.

Veeam Replication works by requesting a snapshot from the hypervisor as often as every 15 minutes, then using those snapshots to track changes between the source and target workloads. Veeam is cloud agnostic, meaning you can replicate to any cloud provider.

Or does the packet's destination MAC address get specified by the hypervisor (or the real physical network card in AWS's hardware) when it sees that the packet's destination IP address is specified to be exactly this secondary ENA card's public IP address (and not the public IP address of the primary ENA card I use for ssh access to the AWS VM)?
