Build the API your users deserve (Sponsored) Creating a best in class API experience for your partners and customers shouldn't require an army of engineers. Speakeasy’s platform automates the generation of idiomatic SDKs, custom-branded docs, and robust test suites that are as good as what you'd build yourself. That means you can unlock API revenue while keeping your team focused on what matters most: shipping new products.

How to Achieve High-Accuracy Results When Using LLMs

Speaker: Ben Epstein, Stealth Founder & CTO | Tony Karrer, Founder & CTO, Aggregage

When tasked with building a fundamentally new product line with deeper insights than previously achievable for a high-value client, Ben Epstein and his team faced a significant challenge: how to harness LLMs to produce consistent, high-accuracy outputs at scale. In this new session, Ben will share how he and his team engineered a system (based on proven software engineering approaches) that employs reproducible test variations (via temperature 0 and fixed seeds), and enables non-LLM evaluation m

How can routing protocols such as OSPF and RIP use the network layer

Network Engineering

I am currently reading the the network layer chapter in Kurose & Ross Computer Networking: a top down approach. I understand that one of the responsibilities (services) of the network layer is to provide host to host delivery of data and to achieve that goal the network layer uses routing protocols to populate forwarding tables in order for routers to know where to send data.

Improving the Accuracy of Generative AI Systems: A Structured Approach

Speaker: Anindo Banerjea, CTO at Civio & Tony Karrer, CTO at Aggregage

When developing a Gen AI application, one of the most significant challenges is improving accuracy. This can be especially difficult when working with a large data corpus, and as the complexity of the task increases. The number of use cases/corner cases that the system is expected to handle essentially explodes. 💥 Anindo Banerjea is here to showcase his significant experience building AI/ML SaaS applications as he walks us through the current problems his company, Civio, is solving.

Cat cable pairs' twist rate and how that affects crosstalk

Network Engineering

I understand that more twists result is a cleaner signal because the crosstalk is reduced, but how is the rate of twist affecting the physical properties of the wire pair themselves to reduce that crosstalk? Is there an upper limit to how tight the twists get before diminishing returns? In my search to answer this, I also recently learned that the pairs inside Cat 6 are twisted at different rates, though apparently the rate of twist is left up to the individual manufacturers.

Is using socat good practice for forwarding multicast traffic? [closed]

Network Engineering

I have a Linux machine, with one interface on network A, and one interface on network B. On network A, another machine is a source for multicast traffic, let's say 239.255.0.1. I want the multicast traffic to be forwarded to network B. My first idea would be to start a socat on my machine, like : socat UDP4-RECV: ,ip-add-membership=239.255.0.1: UDP4-SENDTO: : It seems to work, as I monitor my traffic on the target machine on network B.
