There are many values and recommendations, but as far as I understand the real question is what is the actual MTU of the WAN link which depends on the type of connection (cable, PPPoE, etc.). Starting from this MTU, I should be able to calculate the optimal MSS value to be set for my LAN interfaces, right?

I’m beginning to seriously wonder whether or not Microsoft hasn’t lost their way in the virtual weeds, and instead of listening to customers, which is what they should be doing, they are listening to their investors and shareholders, completely ignoring their actual user population. I hate modern capitalism for that very reason, and have…for a while.
