Another issue with disabling connected experiences, users are no longer able to open SharePoint files in the desktop Office365 apps, the files open in the web version. I had previously disabled connected experiences for all, but a cpl of users started having issues. Had to reapply the policies. Optional Connected Experiences is more of an oxymoron.

Google just announced that Gemini integration in Google Workspace is now available for free. Users in Europe and Japan must first turn on this feature. Workspace admins can enable or disable Gemini in the Google Admin Console. You can also use Gemini to access Gmail if you have a personal Google account, but there are limitations.
