Issue with accessing websites on QEMU guest [closed]

I tried using different dns servers, but without success. This implies the issue is at the transport layer or higher. Recently I removed and re-added a connection from the guest and it seems this is when the issue started. nslookup also works fine so this likely isn't the issue. What do you suggest I do next?

Is there a way to fix the internet connection of a vm "behind" two pfsense machines?

doesn't work as well as nslookup, and currently when I use wireshark it shows strings of attempting to make DNS queries to 8.8.8.8 Every interface can be pinged without issue, and the Kali machine also connects to the internet just fine; my main frustration at this point is why I can't seem to connect the Debian side to the internet.
